Wamba Church

This remarkable church in Wamba, Spain, was begun in the 7th century and features Visigothic, Mozárabic-Romanesque and Gothic elements, and an even older Roman baptismal font made out of a column capital. Wamba is named after the Visigothic king who was said to have been crowned here in 672, and given that it’s a Germanic name and not a Latin one, this is the only town in Spain that begins with a W.
