Pilgrim

Romanian pilgrim Carmelia was one of the most memorable people we encountered on the Primitivo. She had made fabric bracelets and handed them out to female pilgrims including @nomadic_vegan, who still wears hers 2.5 years later. When I sent Carmelia this photo, she was very happy and said, “In my country we say that if you see a woman from behind, she is in high school (i.e. young), and if you see her from in front, she is in museum (i.e. old).”
