Round Church

Sunlight pours into the round church of the magnificent Convento do Cristo in Tomar, Portugal. This 12th-century fortified religious complex served as the seat for the Knights Templar and its successor in Portugal, the Order of Christ. Apart from the church, the convent is known for its impressive walls, hilltop location and later additions including several late Gothic Manueline features.
